A Journey Through Time
With a rich history spanning around 300 years, The Lower New Inn has witnessed countless stories and events. Notably, it was once run by Welsh international footballer Kenny Morgans. Kenny is remembered for surviving the tragic Munich air crash of 1958, which claimed the lives of many of his Manchester United teammates. Following his recovery, he continued his football career with Swansea Town.

After a brief period of closure, The Lower New Inn has reopened in 2024 under new ownership, transforming into a gastropub with a clear focus on quality food sourced locally. Our menu celebrates the finest local ingredients, offering a diverse selection that caters to all tastes.
